A Love of Cupcakes!

I Also Love Cupcakes!

Maybe it is because I'm trying to change my eating habits, but in the past few months, I've rediscovered my love of cupcakes!  I've been baking up a storm with my old favorites ever since.  As many already know, I love cake!  Now I can have my little bit of heaven without feeling guilty if I do indeed eat the whole "cake" by myself!!!  I recently visited a cupcake bakery in Nashville called "The Painted Cupcake".  I had a strawberry cupcake and my daughter had a key lime cupcake.  We shared and yese, both were delicious!

First Post by Jim

I am joining my wife in posting to this blog about things we like to eat. Most of my posts will be about things other than sweets, since that is my better half's passion. I am trying to eat healthier than I have over the past few years, so I will be trying to modify some of my old recipies to make them more health conscious while still retaining the flavor. Hope you enjoy, and please comment if you have any good ideas.

For The Love of Baking!

Who Loves to Bake?  I Do, I Do!

I am so excited about being able to share recipes and ideas about baking with others who love the art of baking.  I've had a passion for baking since I was a child.  My first memory of being interested in cooking and especially baking was when my third grade teacher gave my a Holly Hobby Cookbook.  I loved the book and I loved her more so for helping me to realize that I loved baking!  Ever since then I've been in the kitchen trying out new and old recipes, trying again after failed recipes, and rejoicing when I had great results at great recipes.  Yes, baking has it's ups and downs, but when you have so many great results it is hard not to keep going back into the kitchen to repeat those happy results!
